“Sunday Morning”

SunSundayMorning

Tomorrow morning as you enjoy that second cup of coffee, you may want to turn your TV station to CBS at 9:00.  Charles Osgood, a very nice gentleman with a soothing voice will be your host for the next ninety minutes.  During those ninety minutes, you will have an opportunity to experience journalism at its best.  There you will find something for everyone as you learn about art, literature, history, entertainment, music and more; there’s even a brief news segment at the beginning of the program.  It might be a good idea to keep a tissue close by because some of the features can be quite moving like the one last week about a young man named Tim Harris.  He is the only restaurant owner in the country with Down syndrome who gave it all up for love.

Who doesn’t remember the glory days of Pan Am Airways?  It was oh so glamorous to be a stewardess back then and every girl growing up wanted to be one, including me.  There was a segment on the program last week about the rise and fall of that great airline.  For those of you who travel frequently, you will be amazed at how much air travel has changed since then.

Personally I don’t watch a lot of TV; in fact I only subscribe to basic cable.  Music is my thing and I listen to it most of the time.  Every now and then however, I stumble across a program that is irresistible to me like The Big Bang Theory with its unconventional friend group, especially Sheldon Cooper.  I have also been known to binge watch Law & Order SVU because I love the Special Victims Unit team of Elliott Stabler and Olivia Benson.  Did you know that Taylor Swift named her cat Olivia Benson?  I guess I’m in good company then…lol.  The PBS network is a favorite of mine also.

So if you have an opportunity some Sunday Morning, treat yourself and tune into “Sunday Morning”.  You’ll be glad you did.

  1. I love SVU! I always forget when it’s on though, and I think they keep changing the time. But I try and catch it whenever possible 🙂
